prj 6 redo

this is my project six redo.

this one im really proud of. the whole project was based on writing chords over a sustained bass note. instead of using just the bass i used a distorted guitar to get kind of a staticy sound to it. for the chords i used a synth that panned back and forth to add depth to the sound like in the song bleed-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyvuc_GjzfU. i went from two notes to one note to two notes. i also added a drum beat that, very slowly, comes up adn becomes louder over a long period of time.

here is my project 6. its probably my favorite creation out of all of my songs. this one has a long bass line with some sustained wobbles added in. by listening to my other dubstep/dnb songs i was able to hear what id did wrong with them and create a song that mixed all of my favorite elements of dubstep and dnb in on. harsh to smooth synths, hard wobbles and simple kick, step- type drum lines. my biggest inspirations for this were- doctor p-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jL34qKX0Ge4 with the constant unsynced wobbles, and soft video game inspired synths.

her is 5a. it has a noise gate to help transfer from the drum ptterns. the biggest influence on this project was deadmau5's cthulu sleeps- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smt28hhJ5kE . it inspred me to make a house/rave song instead of a nother dubstep/dnb. it also gave me the idea to make a simple beat with no tmuch synth in there untill later.

project 5

my project 5 is a drum and bass song. the beginning is simple with the kick, snare pattern but then the synth and basses kick in and it takes a new shape. it become more complicated with 4 or 5 bass parts and 3 or 4 sythns. my inspirations for this were nosia-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pWZRJd4z8o and aphex twin- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Az_7U0-cK0 with the bass. and eyedea with the synth part http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ae2GdYXuRe8. even though this really isnt a synth in the eyedea song it still gave inspiration for the part where i did the scales.

project 4

for this project i added filters that were controlled with the x-y controller. for the bass i used the delay bank and the love philter. my inspirations for this song were nosia http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAO-lzl3vVQ and netsky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAO-lzl3vVQ.

im almost done with my project 4. i just need to link everything to controllers and mmodify them.

this song has more of a dubstep bass than my other songs. i put a modulation wobble and pitch blend to give it a more dynamic sound. i also added a decay. my inspirations were borgore http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvlhpgEcoAk and skrillex www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVUnpkvgHaw.

chopping

this is my first attempt at chopping. also with the chopping i added a dubstep-style wobble bass. the drum loop is a simple kick snare crash. the wobble was also flanged to get a deeper sound to it other than just the modulation and wobble.

project 1 redo

basically the first project just redone to sound like it has more of a fill.

my first project.
I worked on creating contrasting drum beats. My inspiration for this loop was hardcore dance and techno mixed with some DnB/dubstep kicks (like Black Sun Empire- "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJApTvsLpNU" or Flux Pavillion- "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJlA3Fn868w"). I tried adding synth and bass loops, but none of them worked with the beats. The snares and hi-hats came from rave/house beats (like Deadmau5- "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDndZn0YPdI" or Kaskade- "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovsjkYytGOU" or Feed Me- "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLLOYqe6O8M".) The first loop has more kicks to it than the second loop. and the third part is all kicks.
